1- Upper Canada Village - Morrisburg, ON
The Upper Canada Village is holding “Queen Victoria birthday celebrations”. You will have the chance to hear patriotic speeches, see grand military manoeuvres and even witness 1860s athletic games.
While you are there you may as well stroll around the village to experience life in the 19th century.
A ticket to the celebrations will set you back $19.
The Restaurant Day is a worldwide event that is celebrated four times a year and May 20th is one of those dates.
During the event, anyone can register on the website to offer a menu and play Chef for a day. In North America, Montreal is leading the board with its number of possibilities. Head out to the city located in the province of Quebec for a taste of local culinary.

3- Culinary Ontario Festival – Ontario place, Toronto, May 19-22
This culinary festival is a pretty good reason to visit Toronto during the weekend, especially since the admission is free. The impressive list of activities and happening will be well worth it:
• Culinary roamers
• Cedar farmers’ market
• Ontario Flavours with free sample of local food, beer, wine, etc.
• Bar
• Food trucks
• Culinary activities of all sort (Cooking classes, local chef event, etc.)
The festival will also host a whole bunch of art and music shows.
4- Canadian Tulip Festival – Ottawa May 12-22
The Canadian tulip festival is coming to an end during the weekend so we decided to add it to our list in order to attend the closing celebrations.
The Canadian capital will be the host of a spectacular fireworks show. The evening will continue with entertainment and DJ.
While you are in the city, might as well take advantage of the International Museum day and visit the National Gallery of Canada for free.
5- Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair – Surrey, British-Columbia, May 19-22
British Columbia is always full of possibilities for long weekends. Our selection is to visit the Cloverdale Rodeo & Country fair. The fair has a something for everyone:

• Rib fest
• Live outdoor entertainment stage
• Lumberjack show
• Much more
Rodeo performances are also scheduled throughout the weekend until the final on May 22. You should plan your visit in advance in order to buy the tickets for the event of your choice.
